The Eric Normore Memorial Foundation is a duly incorporated charitable foundation, registered under the Companies Act and with the Canadian Customs and Revenue Service. It is accountable under that Act and to Revenue Canada, has provision for annual public meetings, audits, and publishes a financial statement annually. It has a board of directors, which may vary between three and nine, which meets regularly to conduct the business of the Foundation.

Its funds are raised by public subscription, mainly from the corporate sector, and are invested to provide continuous funding for community projects. These projects are proposed and completed by volunteer organizations with the active participation of the Foundation. The projects are principally, but not necessarily confined to, those which promote recreational activity for the community, beautify it's surroundings and generally improve the quality of life for all its citizens, neighbors and visitors.
